Wrapping up 2017: Big in Japan

Let us continue wrapping up 2017; it is high time. In the previous post from a few days ago, I shared how September to October had fared for me. In this update, we will go from November to January, and thus not only wrap up 2017, but also kind of wrap up the lunar Year of the Rooster. Japan time - November 2017 Nagoya After my mom’s visit to Taipei, I had three days to finalize my presentation for the workshop I was an invited speaker of: Workshop on Mimetics II: New Approaches to Old Questions, organized at Nanzan University 南山大学 in Nagoya, Japan.

〜〜Konnichiwa mina san こんにちはみなさん〜〜 After my SEA roundtrip to Phuket and China where I visited some of my friends, I arrived back in Taiwan. I was running in Pudong airport in Shanghai to get my flight because I had to queue for two hours just to get through the security check, but it turned out to be no problem — apparently China occasionally bullies Taiwanese airlines, resulting in a delay of two, three hours.

A Visit From Japan

A long overdue update, but my friends have implored me to write it down. In the last update I talked about the Artsy Fartsy Afternoon I had after my Visit from Vietnam. Today my treat for you is a Visit from Japan and how I spent Chinese New Year 2016. Under the Bamboo Last year, my dear Japanese friend Takeshita 竹下 “Under the bamboo” came to visit me and Joke in Belgium and we had a wonderful time.
