Summer is almost over and I know you must have been dying to read an update on this blog! Or maybe not, but you’re still reading this, so welcome dear reader. In this update I will mostly talk about my adventures in July, but will do a quick recap of what happened after the previous post, which detailed the lovely experience I had doing fieldwork on Bunun.
End of the semester So the last weeks of the spring semester 2016 were filled with making presentations and writing papers.
In de vorige update kon je lezen hoe het afscheid in China gebeurde. Hier zal ik het hebben over de thuiskomst en wat er in de laatste twee jaar gebeurde.
We kwamen aan in Zaventem. Ik droeg mijn rijsthoed want dat was een souvenir, maar hij paste niet in mijn koffer noch mijn rugzak. Die was trouwens gecontroleerd geweest in Heathrow, want mijn deo zat er nog in. De mevrouw van de douane vond dat hij zwaarder was dan 10kg wat ik contesteerde, maar eigenlijk zat ze er niet veel naast - ik bleek 25kg op mijn rug mee te sjouwen.
